Broadway Tables
It's Cake, but with Rakeback
Broadway Tables is a relatively new online poker room (Summer 2010), and it joins the existing Cake Network (which includes Cake Poker and Doyle's Room among others). What they offer that the other's don't (or at least it's much more difficult) is 33% rakeback with NO MINIMUM PLAY QUALIFICATION. You don't have to promise to play 100,000 hands to get rakeback at Broadway tables. Also, unlike many rakeback offers which pay monthly, Broadway Tables pays rakeback every week directly into your player account.
Um, What's Rakeback?
When you play poker online the poker room takes a certain amount of money out of each pot. This money is called the "rake" and is how the poker rooms stay in business. Rakeback is a way of returning some of the money the poker rooms take back to the player.
The amount of rake taken from a particular pot depends on the stakes of the game that's being played and the size of the pot. Usually there is a cap, or maximum amount, of rake per hand and for low and middle limits that maximum amount is usually $3.00. In most cases the person who wins the hand "pays" the rake (because the rake has been taken out of the pot and therefore the winner is winning a little less money than they would without the rake).
Even for low and micro limit players the amount of money spent on rake can be quite large over time especially when playing more than one table at a time (something almost all online players do nowadays), so every week a third (33%) of this lost money is returned to you. This means it becomes easier to beat the game and be a winning player by not just playing better than the other players at the table, but by winning enough money to beat the rake of the cardroom.
Highly Recommended
If you play on the Cake Poker network then you should be playing at Broadway Tables. The 33% rakeback amount plus their VIP rewards is the best value for most players online. Seriously. Sign up now.
